My biggest priority is to make you feel understood, connected, worthy, seen, and safe and create a non-judgmental space to share vulnerable experiences and to build trust. I come from an optimistic mindset and have the skill of finding some sort of positive outcome even in our most negative life experiences. I work from a holistic view which means I like to look at all aspects of life i.e. biological, psychological, and social to create a balance between our mind and body. I have expertise working with clients experiencing suicidal thoughts, engaging in suicidal ideations or Self-harm behaviors/ thoughts, worrying to a point where they cannot function in their daily lives (anxiety), and often experiencing sadness, crying, and feeling hopeless about life (depression), lack of appetite, lack of sleep, lack pleasure in things that they once liked, difficulty regulating emotions, feelings and thoughts, anger management, poor relationship with friends or family. Some evidence-based interventions that I like to incorporate in my therapy style are; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Behaviour Activation Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused approach (SFT), Crisis Interventions skills, Trauma-informed approach.
